I'm Going Home!!!!

Thats me right now. Because I finally heard back from College Program Recruiting! I was accepted for Fall Advantage as a Character Attendant! :D *insert happy elephant dance*

I really can't express how happy I am. It took forever to hear back. I'm not going to lie the wait was absolutly killer. Amusingly my invitation letter is dated Feb 4th. Which means I was actually accepted 2 weeks ago, but I never got an email. I must have slipped through the cracks. My folder was mailed out on the 14th and it got to my apt on the 17th but I didn't get it until today. Thats a full 2 weeks of unnecessary stress. Womp Womp. But its ok. Because I am going back to Orlando. :)

In other amazing life news I was able to take the CLEP test (a test that you can take to gain college credit) finally on Friday! I got the 50 I needed to get 6 credit hours which means I not only am definitely graduating in May but I get to drop a class so I will only be taking 16 hours again. Can we say YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Basically this has been the most magical weekend ever. I am totally floating on cloud 9. Now I have to begin Audition prep and hope that I can pass it this time. .... Correction with confidence: Audition prep so I can rock that Audition and pass it with flying colors. :D

Role List Update

Just because I can...
Another batch of emails has gone out. Which means some more roles to add to the list of roles that have been offered so far.

The role list: Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping, Custodial, and Main Entrance Ops, Hospitality, Concierge, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique,  Photopass Photographer, Character Attendant.

The update role list: Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping, Custodial, and Main Entrance Ops, Hospitality, Concierge, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique,  Photopass Photographer, Character Attendant, Vacation Planner, Costuming.

In case you are wondering which roles have not (as far as my detective/ninja abilities have found) been offered, the list is as follows: Bell Services Dispatch, Hopper, Recreation, and Transportation.

Update (2/17 10pm): Someone got Transportation so the roles not given out yet is down to Bell Services, Hopper, and Recreation.

Update (2/18 7pm): Recreation can also be taken off the list. So that now leaves Bell Services and Hopper.

Update (2/23 9am): I saw a post on DIS that someone got Hopper. I think they may have been accepted a few days ago. All thats left is Bell Services.

Update (3/4 1:30pm): I  asked around and it turns out small batch of people have been accepted for recreation. 2 girls I talked to were accepted on the 18th. So all roles are out there now. :)

Annnnd Another Batch

So last night saw more invitations go out. Over the weekend (Friday and Saturday) pending emails/letters went out. But on the bright side about 10 or so people who were pended received invitations last night. Which is good.

The update role list: Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping, Custodial, and Main Entrance Ops, Hospitality, Concierge, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique,  Photopass Photographer, Character Attendant.

Also people have been accepted for the Culinary program as well. It is getting to the point where so many people have been accepted that its hard to keep track of the roles. I think I have them all but to be honest, I'm really not sure.

I am not even going to try to act all calm and cool. I am starting to worry. Friday will be 4 weeks from my interview. I have not heard anything. Not only have I not heard anything, invitations for Photopass and Character Attendant have now gone out. In total I think it is 3 invitations for CA and 2 for Photopass which isn't a lot but it still freaks me out.

At this point the only reason why I am not in full terrified mode is that my friend Trevor is still waiting to hear too. He is a 2 time CP alum who had to leave from the Spring 2010 program early due to illness. He also applied for Performer and Attendant. I feel like as long as he is still waiting with me, I am ok.

I pray I hear soon. I really don't know how much longer I can feel this way (worried and filled with doubt) without breaking down. I am trying to console myself with the fact that I only have to wait till Friday and then I can call and hopefully get some answer as to what my status is. That is really only helping a very small bit. Sigh.

Oh Look! More Invitations!

... but none for me. Waah Waaaaaah.

But lets be honest here the real reason I am posting this is to update my list of roles currently offered. Now of course this is not totally accurate becuase there is a high possibility someone has been offered something that I don't have on my list and I either missed them or perhaps they never said what they were offered.

The old list: Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping

The updated list: Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping, Custodial, and Main Entrance Ops.

That is all I have seen so far. No Attendants or Photopass.  I secretly hope that the reason I haven't been accepted for Merch or Attractions (both of which I checked) is because I am going to get one of my top choices which they haven't sent any invites out for. I of course realize that this is the most BS statement ever and the fact that I haven't heard back yet does not mean anything, positive or negative, it just means I haven't heard.

Anyways. I have to believe that I will hear soon. Friday is my day.

Waiiiting and Waiiiiiting and Waaaiiiiiiiting some more

Tick Tock goes the clock. 

Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin into the future.

Ok so thats all I have in the way of song lyrics for today. Obviously this post is about the wonderful wait that is going on right now. A total of about 10 people have been invited to the program. The rest of us applicants are suffering through the wait. 

For the most part I haven't been really obsessing over the wait. I haven't checked my email any more than I usually do (not that this says much. I usually check my email like every 2 hours). I have been preoccupied with school. But that is starting to wear off. Especially today because for the first time in my life, there is legit snow outside and it is a snow day. 

So I am now quite.... agitated. I'm not freaking out but I an definitely antsy and agitated. I definitely think an invitation is coming for me. I can't imagine not being accepted to the program again. But I don't know when it will come. I am also afraid that I may not get to stay in entertainment. Really I am just nervous. Gack! I have no idea what I am feeling other than just being a bundle of emotions and nerves. 

In addition to the previous 10 (ish) Facebook group members that have already been accepted, 10 more people got accepted today. Several are people I would consider friends and part of my close D-fam. While I am happy for them, I am so jealous it's not even funny. I console myself with the fact that no one seems to have been accepted for the roles I want most aka those under the entertainment umbrella. Its been Merchandise, Attractions, QSFB, FSFB, Lifeguard, Housekeeping, and I believe thats it.

I was hoping that today would be the day I heard back. I heard back last time on a Friday. However it was at 3 weeks and this week was at 2. For whatever reason I just expect that I will receive notification on a Friday. It could happen on another day, but I will now set my sights for next Friday.

So I will bide my time. Listen to the tick tock noise that my internal clock makes. Watch the time slip away as I dream and wait.
